“I was drawn to Integra Service Dogs Australia because of the personal and professional connections I have with former and current serving members” – Jess Cameron

Jess Cameron is a Canberran who broke a Guinness World Record in April 2022 for the heaviest sumo deadlift in one minute by a female. Through her efforts, she helped raise over $22,000 for Integra Service Dogs Australia.

“I am so pleased to not only hold the official record, but to have raised money and awareness for such a great cause along the way,” Jess said.

Jess is a public servant and has worked as a communications specialist with the Department of Defence on people-centred projects, including a site that helps ADF members and their families better understand their pay and service conditions.

A competitive strength athlete in the sports of powerlifting and strongman, she made top 10 in the 2019 Official Strongman Games and continues to train towards ambitious goals.

Jess’s connections to the Defence community in Canberra and beyond, the resilience she has shown in overcoming her own mental health challenges, and her determination to achieve while supporting others, makes her a worthy ambassador for Integra.
